Filter Technology
How Himajal's multi-stage purification system works to deliver the purest, healthiest water.
Purification Flow Diagram
Sediment Filter (PP 5 Micron)
Pre-filtration to remove large particles
A polypropylene spun filter that physically blocks particles larger than 5 microns. This first stage protects subsequent filters from fouling and extends their life.
Activated Carbon Block (10 Micron)
Chemical contaminant removal
Carbon granules with enormous surface area adsorb organic chemicals, chlorine, and volatile compounds. Critical for improving taste and protecting the RO membrane.
Granular Activated Carbon (GAC)
Fine chemical polishing
A second carbon stage provides additional protection against chlorine and organic matter before the sensitive RO membrane. Also improves taste.
RO Membrane (TFC 75/100 GPD)
Core nano-filtration stage
The heart of the purifier. A semi-permeable membrane with pores of 0.0001 micron allows only water molecules to pass through, rejecting up to 99% of dissolved impurities. Output: 18–35 ppm TDS.
UF Membrane (0.01 Micron)
Ultrafiltration for microbiological safety
Ultra-fine hollow fiber membrane provides an additional barrier against bacteria and cysts. Works without pressure and adds an extra layer of protection to UV-treated water.
UV Purification (11W, 254nm)
Microbiological disinfection
Ultraviolet light at 254nm wavelength destroys the DNA of 99.99% of all bacteria, viruses, and cysts without adding any chemicals to the water. NSF/ANSI certified performance.
Alkaline Mineral Cartridge
pH enhancement & mineral re-addition
Proprietary blend of calcium, magnesium, potassium, and tourmaline minerals raises water pH to 8.5–9.5 and induces negative ORP (-100 to -200 mV) for powerful antioxidant properties. Makes water healthier and better-tasting.
Post Carbon Polishing Filter
Final taste improvement
A final inline carbon filter gives the purified water a crisp, refreshing taste before dispensing. Also helps stabilize pH.
